Puketi Olive Farm

About Us
We were bitten by the Olive Bug whilst visiting the Maltese Island of Gozo in the early1990's and are still trying to recover, as for once bitten, forever infected. After that first introduction to Olive horticulture we commenced planting Olive trees on our small section on the island and eventually, by around circa 2,000 had a thriving grove , approximately 100 trees, producing around 300 litres of magical mystical oil each year.

In 2011 we returned to New Zealand, to Kerikeri, and " still infected " planted 180 trees on the property, the trees are about to celebrate their 13th birthday, are thriving, and the coming harvest in March is looking very promising, with our hope of organically producing close to 400 Litres of High Phenolic EVOO.

If you might be interested in getting bitten by the Olive Bug may i suggest that you read a couple of wonderful books:-
: The Olive Route by Carol Drinkwater
: The Life and Lore of a Nobel Fruit x Mort Rosenblum

If, after reading the above books, you are still not infected may i suggest that you drop by for a visit to our grove and Press House.
